Peaches & Cream

"Nature is what we know - Yet have art not to say - So impotent our wisdom is to her simplicity"
-Emily Dickinson

Today I have been working on my "Wired" series. I decided to do a wired/painting of a peach because we are very 'wired' to food. There is no way we can survive without it. We need it to exist. It is very much integrated into our well-being. To some, food is considered a blessing. To others, a curse. To some, it's beauty. To others, it's ordinary. To me, (food in its most natural state that is) it's simplistic and beautiful. I find things of nature to be graceful, strong, pure. A sort of grace that empowers such strength offering a lifeline of support to our essential needs in it's purest form. Today's piece of artwork captures the very essence of the simplistic grace that nature/food can behold.
